Target group and program overview
The 2.5 day “Through the Ceiling” program is open to women who are in very senior roles in their organizations. We are limiting program enrollment to 8 participants per session in order to maximize the opportunity for in-depth coaching and dialogue. Two experienced executive coaches, Ann Houston Kelley and Elisabet Engellau will lead the program.
Pre-program work: You will be interviewed by one of the two program leaders. In addition, you will be asked to take part in two, 360-degree assessments (the Global Executive Leadership Inventory and the Personality Audit) which will enable you to bring a full spectrum of ‘back home’ data into the program for analysis and discussion. We recommend that you have a discussion with your boss before and after the program. There will also be a selection of relevant articles and suggested books.
Program schedule
The 2.5 day program begins on Monday in the early evening and ends on Thursday morning just after breakfast. The following is a brief outline of the program design.
- Opening: (evening) Welcome, defining expectations, setting the context, analysis of your assessment results.
- Day 1: Coaching for development in a group setting, refining your personal action agenda in an individual session, key leadership issues for senior women
- Day 2: Competing committments, critical incidents, consolidation
It is essential to sustain the impact of the program afterwards and to support the changes that you have committed to make. We will do this in 3 ways: an individual telephone coaching call with one of the program leaders, a peer learning partner system with 2 selected peers from the participant group and a group telecon with all participants and leaders. These will take place within 9 months of the program.
This unique program format offers a significant opportunity for growth and development that goes beyond what one-to-one executive coaching or business schools can provide in terms of value for time and money invested.
